Getting the invitation to work with and for the Salvation Army was an amazing process.

As I began, I was set up at the Walmart Wando Crossing in Mount Pleasant, SC.

​

I never realized how many people would love to see my smile and listen to my encouragement. No matter what the situation had called for, they all stopped to speak, to shake my hand, to share their own experiences with the Salvation Army. 

​

I went to three other locations in the same area of Mount Pleasant. 

I soon began to realize....I had collected a little more than five thousand....then eight thousand...then ten thousand....then....more

I have had a very rough patch the last 2 years. And during this time of being affiliated with the salvation Army, the hardship grew greater and more wearier.

But I did not stop. 

No matter what, that bucket and that bell...meant everything to me.
